The Property Assessment Appeal Board is a quasi-judicial tribunal that functions independently of BC Assessment and the Property Assessment Review Panels. The Board is required by law to act in accordance with the principles of natural justice and procedural fairness.
The purpose of the Fairness and Service Code is to provide parties with information about the Board’s processes and outline the standards and behaviour parties can expect from Board Members and staff.
The Board welcomes complaints, comments and suggestions as a way for the public to voice any concerns and an opportunity to improve our rules, processes and organization. If you have any concerns about a particular situation, staff or Board member, or suggestions on how the Board does its job, we encourage you to communicate with us.
