November 15, 2024 | Re: Canada Post Work Action
In regards to work action affecting delivery by Canada Post, the Board intends to continue with our normal distribution of desk orders, and general correspondence. For decisions of the Board following a hearing, release of decisions will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will generally be released when ready. The Board may delay release of decisions in order to ensure timely delivery to persons affected by a decision (for example, non-participating property owners). Please note, the 21-day deadline established in section 65 of the Assessment Act commences from the decision’s receipt. A person receiving a Board decision by lettermail, should take note of the date it was actually received. For any party who normally receives our correspondence by mail, please contact the Board if you are able to provide an alternate mode of delivery. For any questions, please contact the Board’s office at 604-775-1740 or email [email protected]. |
